got the top two right in-group a and c but in the wrong order. argentina and germany to top their groups, tick. s. korea surprised me and nigeria still should've beaten then to second spot. ghana second place was also a bit of a surprise. 10 men aus almost/should’ve beat them.
other side of the draw, picked the four group winners here with chile and portugal getting second in their groups. who would've thunk italy wouldn't have narrowly got second place? even at 3-1 down i thought they would still come back, it's italy after all... almost did as well. they were poor though. no pirlo = crap italian side. cameroon let me down big time but japan played well, out of all the group i got that second place finish terribly wrong. but first time s. korea or japan have ever reached the second round when they weren’t hosts…
all in all, not bad. 12 of my 16 teams in the second round with 6 of 8 correct group winners’ predictions. not bad.

if they don't drop torres and deco doesn't play portugal have a good chance. still fancy spain though.
