it would have to be fairly big as i reckon quite a few people would want to join it, so suggest no limit on number of players so everybody who does want in, can be

i think 1000 players min and 1000 plyers max is the obvious.
to get this we need to let subs and nonsubs play ...
an advertising coup....
i would suggest 2/34 as the time limit ... with groupsize 6 ...
6*6*6*6 = 1296, so it would probably be 4 rounds.

if it is a 2/34 or 3/34 tournament then it will take a long long time for round 1 .
the nonsubs will not be able to start any more games ... they willl become bored and leave the site ...
it needs to be a fast round 1 ... so they get back into the action ... and so it m ...[text shortened]... be zero timeout. (even 1/0 will be slower in round 1 than 0/20)
maybe it should even be 0/15

Tournaments that didn't have enough people entered to start are eventually deleted.

"Eventually deleted" would suggest that these tournies were hanging around I didn't see any tournies with these numbers about 10 days ago.
Originally posted by RBHILLHmmmmm, not that I am much disappointed, but I somehow expected it to be a bit more 'uncommon'. By the way, since some tournament are deleted, this one isn't actually the 1000th. Bet that will be tournament 1023 or something.
