1300 second round

Since there will be 9 people in the second round of the 1300 division,
who will get a bye?

This is really a pairing question and Dave will do that when the time
comes. My guess is that the winner of the pawnking vs maggoteer
games will get a bye. Dave correct me if I am wrong.

I think the one who has the highest rating should get the bye.

why?, how many advantages does the strongest player need, give us
all a break give the lowest rated player the bye

From what I understand that is the way it will be. I see what you
mean.

Looks to me that if Pawnking loses to magoteer and Shougi wins his
round one. Looks like Shougi might get the bye. Again, Dave being
more knowledgeable on Fide Tournament rules will clarify when he
come on later. Also, Maybe we should wait till we get to the river
before we decide on how to cross it.
