The highest rating in my group is 1575 with an average of 1302 for the group - I will get my butt kicked anyway in some games, but I was looking forward to having my butt kicked by an 1800+ player 🙁

Hey take it on a positive note, you are even in stronger contention then to win your group, so good luck!!! Show people what you can do, and beat that 1575 player!!!

But you can get an unexpected well result in a game against a 1800+ player. I am playing against a 1800+ player at this moment, about 500-600 higher rated than I am, and I am forcing this person to a draw. It this player even makes the mistake I am hoping for (unlikely though), I might even get a win. But I know, those occasions are pretty rare for players 'like us'.

Didn't Russ promise there wouldn't be such groups? Well, there we have it folks, a least a 1575 rater will make it to round 2 and be hailed top 36 or so in RHP. 🙄
