I've got a spread with players from a rating of 950 all the way up to Trackhead (who's games I'll play a few moves for form's sake and then resign I think).
i reckon thats a pretty even spread, maybe a few more players i feel i have a chance against than those that i feel i dont have a hope in hell against! i pleased with it!

It guess it is a spread, but just anticipated on some 1800+ players, my experience with the 'normal' tournaments. As far as I can tell a lot of 1800+ players entered this tournament.

fred
substitue the 957 with Freddie's rating and you have what I got 😛
My group seems more balanced and tougher then you guys, but I like it anyways, should be fun, upsets possible. I have one 2050 rater, one 1800 rater, one 1750 rater, a vast-sea array of 1500's/1600's raters, a couple of 1300 raters, and only one newbie, a 1150 rater. My group average, when I calculated, is about 1600, very high for a 1st round group in any random tourney and extremely high considering how many newbies did join the 2005 championship.

Russ has posted in the site announcments about it - too many people were trying to view the page and it put a massive load on the server. Shame though.

What? Russ, come on, do something to fix it, somehow! I mean, this tournament is probably the heart and soul of RHP and could really generate interest across the WWW chess communities. I'm sure players and spectators alike would like to see the results pouring in.

As stated, Russ has already posted a message about it, and has something up his sleeve to allow it to be vieweable eventually. I suggest you check that thread/board for updates.
