The word "trial" appears.

It only lets you enter if you've never entered one before, so I suspect ex-subscribers can't get at them. Don't quote me on this.

If you want a tournament get a sub then there is plenty and you don't have to beg then

what about a monthly non-sub tournament? Or Open for subs and non-subs?

I don't think it's unreasonable for tournaments to be a member only feature (excluding a trial 'welcoming' tournament). For any commercial site to survive they need to have incentives to subscribe.
