August '06 Duel Banded 3/14 1200-1400

Well at least I will get beat by the eventual winner in the first round because I would hate to get to the final and come up against a graph like this.

I've currently got User 55922 in Tournament 1284 and Tournament 1288. All this while he's approximately a 1600 rated player...

I don't think there is anything the mods can do, By rights at this point in time he is of correct rating to join the tournament and good luck to him. I suppose it is down to players themselves to choose what to do, hell, it's not as if they are going to win anything and what good is a 1400 winners medal to a 1800 rated player. I don't get it.

It actually seems like I've got alright positions against him. I can see a draw coming on in one of the games.

I got beat in the openings of both games. I hope he enjoys the games.

I have never played online tournaments and am not sure what a mini banded is could someone explain

For busfnatic - a banded tourny is one where the entrance is limited by your best rating within the last 30 days.

So for example, this tournament Tournament 1212 could only be entered by players with a maximum rating of 1250 in the previous 30 days before the start of the tournament (albeit several of us are now rated higher than that).

Hmmm... I've managed to beat him. Required a MASSIVE error on his part mind you. 😕
