Wow, some there are 4 games that have logged less than 15 moves
so far, and these aren't tiebreakers. This tournament will be going
well into next year at this rate. May I suggest a three-day timeout for
round two?
Please remember that 7 day timeouts were set out in the rules from
the start. I try to play everyday, and would like my games to run a
little quicker but my opponent is in a completely different time zone to
me so there is not much we can do to sit down and get things moving.
Introducing 3 day time outs would not be fair. For example, my
girlfireind lives in an other city to me so I am away on long weekends
a lot. If I had known the tournament was going to be based around 3
day timeouts I would not have entered.
Maybe this is something to consider for the next tournament, or
instead maybe try to get people in the same time zones playing each
other in the early rounds
Andrew,
The tournament was started with a seven day timeout. It will
continue to remain so until the tournament is over. We encourage the
players to make more frequent moves, But we honor the fact that they
do have seven days to make a move.

Bennett,
We encourage players to move more frequently. The
tournament started with seven day timeout and will remain so. Rules
apply to those who help run the tournament. We have an obligation to
live up to the rules put out at the beginning of the tournament.
