They pit you against opponents around your own level. Would you rather be playing opponents 400 points either side of your rating?

I would. I happen to prefer a wide range of opponents.

If i could enter a band then that would be ok, but i have to enter 1700+ or 1800+ all the time. I'm always at the bottom of the pile, it's annoying!
