ain't running too well, who ever came up with this should be pretty embarassed since not too many 1800+ players join tournaments. It's been 6 entrants for the last few days or so. 😵

It's not labelled as 1800+ though, you only find out when you try to enter it.

Have you noticed how many 1800+ banded tournaments remain unfilled a lot longer than the others? The system must generate them automatically in batches and all ratings must be required to be included.

Those 4 were all specified as 1800+, and did you also notice 2318 was called a Duel but is actually Quartet? The Grunfeld is asking for 128 players which indicates it wasn't meant to be banded at all.

The 7 oldest Open Tournaments are all 1800+ bandeds.

I'm convinced that to be that good, you generally have to moderate your game load way lower than most subscribers. Between this and the fact that there are only 512 1800+ players (and how many of those are subscribers?) you will have trouble filling such tournaments.

By comparison there are 1351 players between 1600-1800. Of course tournament ratings will up both these numbers slightly, but it's clear that there are twice as many in the 1600-1799 band as in the 1800+.
