You don't get rating points if the game did not last two moves at least.

I don't get why people join tournaments and don't move or resign in all their games once it starts?

How much higher?
Not sure ponderable is correct.
What were the game numbers?
I don't think the move rule applies in tournaments.
I base this on the "sandbaggers" encountered on the site who enter tournaments and resign to lower their rating deliberately.
This then allows them to enter lower rated tournaments and beat everyone else in it.

Hi venda,

what is not apllying to tournament games is the rule that you can delete a game before the completion of the second full move.

If you look up those sandbagger games you will find that they don't give up directly but after two+ moves.
