I don't know why a certain person is even bothering to play in tournaments if they are going to resign on first move. They have done so against myself and Historybites in a tournament. Doesn't make any sense to me. I would have P.M., the person in fact I tried but they have me on Ignore. I am assuming same thing with Historybites.

The Tournament 51218 has just started.
And it seems like that dinc doesn't want to play you.
It is their choice actually.
@Ponderable saidPondy, Of course it is their choice!!

I just don't see the point in starting a tournament and resigning against your first 2 opponents on first moves did the same with historybites, if you look at it closely.
One of my games a move wasn't even made he resigned before even making the first move of course he was white in that one.
EDIT: There is also the option of withdrawing from the tournament, before it starts of course. 😉
If it is a case of disliking then if it were me I'd sooner try and beat the person, I'd really concentrate hard on that one.

I find this irritating also. This player above joins the tournament and then resigns all the games with the lower rated players without making a move so he or she does not lose any rating points. Screws up the whole tournament for no reason what-so-ever; or to promote maybe a friend in the tournament. They can't win the tournament now that they resigned so many games, and screws up the chances for someone that could have won the tournament because they are over 2100 rated. In my opinion this should be a year ban from tournaments for just screwing up tournaments for no reason other than to cheat for someone else.
@KingDavid403 saidI completely agree with you on this. A closer watch on the players doing it should be kept and as Pondy said: They can resign at any point, but when it becomes obvious they are doing it all the time. We should keep track of it and report it to feedback or even Directly to Russ as he may not get to see all feedback. It really does mess the tournament up giving games away to certain opponents and in my case the person had kicked me out of his club for disagreeing with him about something in one of the forums, I believe it was in the "Site Forum" if I am not mistaken.
