I was wondering if there was any chance of making a single player's league (similar to a clan league, but without the clans). There could be, say, seven divisions of 20 players, all playing the others in thier division twice (once as white, once as black), the timeouts could be the regular 3/7... the top two could go up (perhaps a third through playoffs, as in the english football system).
Winning a league or Division could also count as a "Tournament Victory" in a persons statistics.
Any ideas if this would be possible Russ? Anyone think this would be a good idea?
I don't think the repeat season will do much but stop people from entering because they don't want to commit 36 new games whenever the next season starts.

i think maybe if divisions were 10 instead of 20 it would be a lot better. there wouldn't be a massive game load and it would be quite fun. banded tourneys are good but it would be nice to have an individual league thing.

This isn't a bad idea, the divisions shouldn't be too big (10 players == 18 games is as much as anyone can sanely handle all at once), or the starts of the games could be staggerred (games starting 4 at a time at fortnightly intervals) to avoid overloading people.
Yeah, when I first came up with the idea, I was thinking, if possible, all of the games could be staggerred, so as not to overload people, Perhaps 4 games every 2 months or along those lines.
The idea is that it was something slightyl different to a tournament, a bit of variation, you know... there would be nothing to stop you just ignoring it and entering tournaments though!
