would this tourney fill up quicker if it was group size 11 and max 100 players?
FLEX, Looks like we have a bunch of chickens here. We're currently getting about one more person per day. We'll never get 150, in fact, we won't even get the 75 until next week.

Check out the Roland Young's post in the thread''Original pairing in tournaments'' (chess forum)and you'll know why people don't enter this tourny...............low ranked players don't have a chance to go to 2nd round.
I have to admit that lower rated players will probably not fair well. I entered the tourney knowing that I will most likely get ripped by players like Flexmore and my rating will go down. BUT.. I'm here to play chess and to take on a challenge. This is how a person becomes better. U could play lower rated players all day and most likely wim, but I would never get better.
My old coach (Micheal Reading, if you know him) put it best: "if you win, all you get is some imaginary points; if you lose, you learn to play better.".
So the lower rated players should be the first ones to sign up because this is a great way to get some free chess lessons.

Try playing an opponent on the other side of the world and that time will soon vanish I suspect, but 40 days is a lot so maybe not. That's why I avoided this tourney anyway.
