Tournaments

I've been enjoying the tournaments and have been learning alot while
loosing. How about a tournament within rating groups? Say every
500-1000 ratings points? Just a suggestion. Thanks.

Funny you should say that, I just came to the forum to say that I will
try to add filters to the tournaments this weekend so we can have
tournaments for different bands of rated players. That will stop all the
big guns cleaning up on every tournament! 🙂

This would be cool, I think that the tournaments will have a positive
effect on ratings overall.

Each person playing a broader pool of opponents (particularly in the
big group tournaments) should produce a more even rating across the
site.

Currently if a group of friends play regularly on here and don't play
much outside of their group then their ratings will reflect their relative
abilities within their group.

Regularly participating in tournaments stops this ratings island
problem from happening
