The thread title is really confusing "Restrict new games to subscribers". and the OP talks about people unable to read??? What about those who cannot construct sentences properly?

There is no option when creating a game to restrict who accepts your open invite.

What about all these gamers who play for hours on end and suddenly drop dead? I wouldn't want to try such a feat, I get grumpy with the loss of an hour or two of sleep let alone 60.

A Nigerian chess champion plays the royal game for 60 hours — a new global chess record. NEW YORK (AP) — A Nigerian chess champion and child education advocate played chess nonstop for 60 hours in New York City's Times Square to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon.

And I thought me staying up all night to play bullet chess was something huh 😀 not quite 6 hours let alone 60.

At the halfway mark of the 2024 FIDE Candidates Tournament, GM Ian Nepomniachtchi is back in the sole lead. In round seven, he survived over 20 moves of preparation from GM Hikaru Nakamura to make the draw.

GM Gukesh Dommaraju was moves away from winning and entering the sole lead himself, but in time trouble he suffered a heartbreaking loss against GM Alireza Firouzja. GM Fabiano Caruana vs. GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and GM Nijat Abasov vs. GM Vidit Gujrathi ended in draws.

    Was Israel a UK colony?
The land that eventually became modern Israel was not part of a British colony, though it was part of a British mandate. It was temporarily under the administration of and was part of the British Empire and it was under British civilian administration.

    Israeli colonies
Israeli settlements, also called Israeli colonies, are the civilian communities built by Israel throughout the Israeli-occupied territories. They are populated by Israeli citizens, almost exclusively of Jewish identity or ethnicity, and were first established after Israel's victory in the Six-Day War of June 1967.

Nepo now in the lead, Vidit could be in the lead had he won the last two.

Nepo vs Vidit, after Vidit beat Nakamura he then lost the next two games

No one in the IDF was sacked but now that Israel is actually killing British citizens, there has been considerable heat. UK has also had to look at its position.

Brother of aid worker killed in Gaza criticises arming Israel

The family of a British aid worker killed by an air strike in Gaza have criticised the sale of arms to Israel.

James Henderson was among seven aid workers who died in the Israeli attack, which his brother called "inexcusable".

Rishi Sunak is under growing pressure after the strike, which also killed Britons John Chapman and James Kirby, as well as Australian, Palestinian, American-Canadian and Polish nationals.

On Tuesday, the PM said the UK had a "very careful" arms licensing regime.

Earlier, 600 legal experts wrote to the government saying weapon exports must end because the UK risks breaking international law over a "plausible risk of genocide" in Gaza.

Israel receives more than $3Billion of aid from the US, a $14.1 billion package was signed off by the Senate. 14.1 is 15% of the 95 overall package.

    In Feb NYtimes
A $95 billion foreign aid package passed by the Senate on Tuesday morning includes $14.1 billion for Israel’s war against Hamas, though the bill still faces uncertainty in the House.

The $95 billion legislation also sets aside almost $10 billion for humanitarian aid for civilians in conflict zones around the world, including Palestinians in Gaza.
