Maybe the Gazans like having Al Jazeera there, reporting on what's happening.

EDIT: Is Gaza part of Israel? Or no.
===Is Gaza part of Israel? Or no.===

Of course it's not. It's a zone at war with Israel. What's your point?

Biden is American and Fox is American and Fox operates in the US. Shutting down a domestic news organization in peacetime is obviously nothing like shutting down a foreign news organization in a war zone.

    It's still stupid, though.

Not quite. He wants peace, Israeli security, and Palestinian land.
How about if both sides get their own state? Is that okay with you?

Imagine Biden takes a vote of himself, the VP, and the Sec of State and announces a "unanimous" decision to close down Fox News until after the election.

That's what just happened in Israel.
    Not exactly.

Al Jazeera is not an Israeli network, and there is a war going on.

It's stupid, yes (very little that Netanyahu has done recently is not stupid), but that's not a valid comparison.

I have to admit that Netanyahu is getting more and more wild, and has me very worried, as someone who desperately wants peace and Israeli security.

I'm not worried about Al Jazeera. But I'm very worried that he's seemingly fumbled this chance to at least bring temporary peace, and possibly a long term deal with the US and Saudi Arabia. Hamas sitting on it for a week and a half also hurt, of course, but I don't expect any better from that bunch of genocidal terrorists. I do expect more from Israel.

I can't help worry that Netanyahu is putting his own political survival above Israeli interests. I hope they manage to topple him in some legal way.

"The Kent State shootings ... were the killing of four and wounding of nine unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard on the Kent State University campus.

"The shootings took place on May 4, 1970, during a rally opposing the expanding involvement of the Vietnam War into Cambodia by United States military forces as well as protesting the National Guard ...[text shortened]... be deployed to Columbia University and other campuses to stop the ongoing pro-Palestinian protests."
And what happened in the Presidential elections while all of this was going on?

If I'm Biden, I'm praying this stuff fades away by late summer.

If they broke the law it would be a hate crime not an insurrection.
Let's play a little thought experiment.

Imagine we're at Trump's inauguration in 2016. After his wild rant about blood in the streets that passed as his inauguration speech, he and Barack Obama shook hands.

Imagine at that moment that two people charged from the crowd with knives.

Person A heads for Obama, intent on killing him because he hates black people.

Person B for Trump, intent on killing him because he is terrified as to what a Trump administration would do for the country.

Is there a clear answer as to whether Person A or B is worse?

Could you show these "same" pictures? I haven't seen any of large mobs of the college protestors attacking police like occurred on January 6th.

Because one is students occupying a university building, the other are redneck rioters attacking a government building…

    Maybe?
Obviously, the "who" is irrelevant. Students don't have more rights than rednecks.

So the only difference that is left is university building vs. government building.

What if it's a state school? Doesn't that make the university building a government building?

Because the campus protesters are not trying to overthrow the US government?

If the campus protesters march to Washington and sit on the lawn or occupy various buildings, I’ll argue for restraint.

If the campus protesters march to Washington to try to stop the democratic transfer of power, I’ll argue for jail time.
So, you're saying the difference is intent?

What if it were proven that the intent of a protester is to destroy Israel and harass Jews?

Would that make it illegal in your mind?

"How do the Democrats, how do all of us on that side say January 6th was wrong if you can have the same pictures going on on college campuses?"

At least they got rid of that draconian POS. I just hope Biden wins big enough to own senate and house, he will codify Roe V Wade into the constitution.
Doing it one century at a time. Now we are up to 1964, eh.
Codifying Roe v Wade into the Constitution would require a Constitutional amendment, which requires 2/3 of both houses and ratification from 38 states.

That's no more likely in the near future than a discovery that Mars is red because it's covered by an enormous blood ocean that the Vampires love to feast on.
