I bought a lamp in a charity shop (50p), I rubbed it...

..and a three wishes Genie appeared.
I took all the wishes in my next game of chess.
1st. I want to win a Rook
2nd. I want to wins a Rook
3rd. I want to win a Queen.
And to avoid any traditional Genie trickery. I insisted that at
the end of the game I would be a Queen and two Rooks ahead.
The Game I’m White.
You can see I’m already the exchange up and now after
19....Nxd3 20.Qxe8 I am a Rook ahead.
20...Qd4+ 21.Kh1 Nf2+ 22.Kg1 Nh3+ 23.Kh1 Qg1+ 24.Rxg1 I am a Queen up!
Nf2 Checkmate. (I’ve put the lamp map on E-Bay)
(btw, that was Game 11583698 JeanTylerGabriel - ZorroTheFox RHP 2016)

No.1 features a wonderful combo Morphy would have been proud of.
N, McDonald - O. Crawford, England 2026
No.2 is a standard White to play and win position.
No3. has an introduction. A. Karpov v A. Chernin, Tilburg 1992 (rapid)
In this position Karpov to play and he is in severe time trouble.
... in haste Karpov played 54.Qe6+ an illegal move. So the arbiter
stepped in and reset the position above, white to play, but white
must make a Queen move. (touch move) was it 54.Qe7+ or 54 Qd7+

I was browsing through this book again and then went trawling through
RHP games looking for games needlessly lost similar to one I spotted in
the book. I could not find a matching example but I did, however, find this.
Antoine - hjcpa RHP 2025 (white to play this position is a draw.)
White played 55.h6 Black should now play 55..Kg8 and it is a book draw.
56.hxg7 (56.h7+ Kh8 with stalemate.)56....Kxg7 57. Kf5 Kg8 etc and etc.
In the game Black played 55..gxh6 and after 56.Kf7 Black resigned.
I back tracked a few moves discovering not only did Black needlessly
lose this ending, in fact they should have won it. White made a similar
error as shown earlier by taking a pawn that should have been left alone.
Back tracking even further I found that Black missed an earlier win.
Black missed 43...Qxf2+ 44.Kxf2 Ne4+ and 45...NxQ.
Black later swapped the Queen and Knight for the f2 pawn.
That is how the resulting King and pawn ending appeared.
