Levan Aroshidze is a Georgian chess Grandmaster and noted chess coach. Born September 8, 1985, he became a Grandmaster in 2008. Known for his advancements in chess, Aroshidze developed the Aroshidze variation of the Sicilian Defence, a popular opening in chess. He won the Georgian Chess Championship in 2008 and the Copa de España in 2011, in addition to other policy notable victories.
In addition to his personal achievements, Aroshidze is well recognized for his contributions as a chess coach. He coached the Ecuador national chess team between 2017 to 2020 and the Spanish Women's team for the 2020 Online Chess Olympiad.
Aroshidze has also been involved in writing and publishing. He is a co-founder and director of a start-up chess company Chess Player, and has published three successful books about chess.
