Slim Belkhodja is a Tunisian chess grandmaster. Born on the 23rd of November 1962 in Tunis, he is the first Tunisian player to earn both International Master and Grandmaster titles. Belkhodja achieved his FIDE International Master title in 1990 and his Grandmaster title in 2002.
He has represented Tunisia in various international chess competitions including the Chess Olympiads and the Mediterranean Championships. In 2014, Belkhodja won the Tunisian Chess Championship for the 8th time. Also, he claimed victory at the Arab Chess Championship in 1990.
Belkhodja has taught chess at the Clichy team in France. He also served as the General Secretary of the Tunisian Chess Federation during the 2011-2012 period.
Outside of his chess career, Belkhodja is a Doctor of Medicine, specialized in neurology.
