Vladimir Belous is a Russian Grandmaster (GM) in the game of chess. He was born on April 18, 1995. Belous was awarded the Fédération Internationale des Échecs Grandmaster title in 2012, an internationally recognized and renowned honor given to chess masters.
In his early career, Belous was victorious in the 2010 Chigorin Memorial and tied for the first place - with eight other players - in the 2013 Aeroflot Open, though he placed ninth on tiebreak. In 2014, he won both the Vladimir Petrov Memorial and the Riga Technical University Open, the latter event taking place in Latvia.
Belous also performed well in team tournaments. In the Chess Bundesliga 2015–16 season, he played for the club SK Schwäbisch Hall and ended the season on the 19th rank. During the Four Nations Chess League he represented the team 4NCL Guildford and performed exceptionally.
