Alin-Mile Berescu is a notable Romanian chess Grandmaster, born on January 8, 1979. He achieved the title of international master in 1997 and eventually became a grandmaster in 2007. Throughout his career, Berescu has been a participant in several noteworthy chess events. At the European Chess Club Cup in 2000 on board six, his team, AEM Luxten Timisoara, scored a surprising second place. In 2005, he won the Romanian Chess Championship, demonstrating his skill and prowess in the game. He also competed in the Chess World Cup 2005, though he was knocked out in the first round by the Russian Grandmaster Alexander Grischuk.
