Sergei Beshukov is a renowned Russian chess Grandmaster, who gained his Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Grandmaster title in 1995. Prior to this, he held the FIDE International Master title which he received in 1986. Beshukov was born on 17 September 1964 in Yartsevo, Smolensk Oblast, Russia.
Throughout his career, Beshukov has won several prestigious tournaments. In 1996, he won the First Saturday Grandmaster tournament in Budapest, Hungary. In 1997, Beshukov emerged as the champion of the Voronezh International Masters' Tournament and the St. Petersburg Chess Championships. He also participated in the Belgorod International Open Tournament 2001, in which he shared third place.
Beshukov's chess career has also seen him compete in a number of Russian Chess Championships. He has worked with the "School of Grandmaster A. A. Khalifman" in St. Petersburg, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the talent of younger players.
