Born on April 10, 1985, Bocharov learned chess at a young age and began competing in tournaments. He developed a strong reputation as a local player before establishing himself internationally.
Bocharov became a grandmaster — the highest title a chess player can attain — in 2009. He has taken part in numerous prestigious chess competitions, such as the Russian Championship Superfinal which includes some of the world's top players.
One of his notable achievements is winning the Moscow Open in 2011. Throughout his career, Bocharov has consistently proven himself as a leading figure in competitive chess.
