Dejan Bojkov is a Bulgarian chess Grandmaster and chess trainer. Born on July 24, 1977, in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria, Bojkov earned his International Master title in 1999, securing his Grandmaster title in 2008. This made him one of the strongest chess players in Bulgaria. He has participated in numerous chess championships worldwide, including the Chess Olympiads.
Notably, Bojkov also engages in chess coaching, having trained top-ranked players such as Antoaneta Stefanova, a former Women's World Chess Champion. He has also written chess books and released a DVD series about chess.
Bojkov has won different international tournaments such as Dortmund International 2002 and NAO Masters 2005 in Paris. He also won the international tournament at Plovdiv in 2006.
Dejan Bojkov was a member of the Bulgarian team that participated in the European Championships, World Championships, as well as the World Team Chess Championships in the 2000s.
