Ante Brkić is a reputable Croatian chess Grandmaster (GM) born on 17th of February in 1988. He's a significant figure in Croatia's chess fraternity and his International Master title was granted by FIDE in 2006, followed by his Grandmaster title in 2009. FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) is the organization that governs international chess competitions.
Brkić has won several medals in Croatian national championships. Notably, he secured a silver medal in the 2009 Croatian Chess Championship. He also achieved victories in several international tournaments such as Graz Open in 2009 and Elektroprivreda in 2011. The Ivanić Open in 2009 and Zagreb Open in 2010 tournaments were won by him.
In the Chess Olympiads, he has represented Croatia multiple times and won 2 gold medals as a part of the Croatian team in 2014 and 2015 at the European Team Chess Championship. At the FIDE World Cup 2013, he was knocked out in round one.
