David Brodsky is an internationally noted American chess player, holding the status of a Grandmaster. He was born on February 10, 2004, in New York City and began playing chess at the age of seven. Brodsky's talent quickly shone through, and by 2015, he had earned the title of National Master.


In 2018, he achieved the FIDE title of International Master, the second-highest rank in chess, while only 14 years old. He became the 11th youngest International Master in the United States history. His career includes several significant achievements such as scoring 4.5 points at the 2018 World Junior Chess Championship and winning his first GM norm at the 6th Annual Washington International tournament.


In 2019, Brodsky secured his place as a Grandmaster, making him one of the top chess players in the world. He was then 15 years old, becoming the 16th youngest Grandmaster in the world and later attaining a peak world ranking of 2283, according to FIDE.


Brodsky is also a frequent competitor at the Marshall Chess Club, the Manhattan Chess Club, and the Saint Louis Chess Club. He's recognized for his effort and talent in contributing to the chess world at such a young age.
