Daniel Hugo Cámpora is an Argentine chess grandmaster, born on March 22, 1957. Although he started his chess achievements in 1975, he reached his first international accomplishment in 1986, where he participated in the Argentine Championship and the Salta Tournament.
Cámpora attended three Chess Olympiads (a biennial chess tournament for national teams; Turin 2006, Turin 2008, Istanbul 2012) and three World Chess Championships. He earned the Grandmaster title in 1986.
He has won many prestigious awards throughout his career including: Mar del Plata Tournament (1992), Linares Tournament (1995), Continental Chess Championship in Panama (1999), Konex Award: Chess (2000) Merit Diploma, Olimpia Award (2005) and Clarín Award (2005).
Cámpora also coached the Argentina Olympic Team in 2010.
