Isik Can is a Turkish chess grandmaster - the seventeenth in his country's history. His norms came at the Vaujany Chess Festival in July 2022, the Marianbad Open in January 2023 and the U.S. Masters Championship in December 2024, with the title awarded in 2025.

In December 2025 he became national champion, winning the Turkish Chess Championship with victory over Cem Kaan Gokerkan in the final.
