Nico Werner Chasin is an American chess grandmaster, born on September 19, 2006. His junior record runs deep: winner of the under-12 Panamerican Chess Festival in 2017, the New York Scholastic Junior High title in 2019, and a perfect 10/10 in the under-18 blitz at the 2021 North American Youth Championship.

He won the U.S. Cadet Championship in July 2022 by a clear point and a half, tied for first at that year's U.S. High School Championship, and by November 2024 was the top American finisher on his way to the Grandmaster title, completed in 2026.
