Elina Danielian is an Armenian chess grandmaster. She was born on August 16, 1978 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR, Soviet Union. Danielian was awarded the titles of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 1993 and International Master (IM) in 2000 by FIDE, the international chess federation. She won the World Under-14 Girls Championship in 1992 and the World Under-16 Girls Championship in 1994.


Danielian has represented Armenia in several Chess Olympiads, contributing to team bronze in 2010 and multiple top-10 finishes. She has claimed victory in a number of notable tournaments, including the A-Group of the 2002 North Urals Cup. Additionally, she secured first place at the Women’s Tournament of the 11th European Individual Chess Championship in 2010.


She also competed in the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix series, aiming for the Women's World Chess Championship. Danielian's peak rating, achieved in July 2012, was 2510, making her № 15 in the women's world rankings.


In 2011, she was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sport of the Republic of Armenia for her contribution to chess. Outside of her chess career, she is married to Armenian grandmaster Samvel Ter-Sahakyan.
