GM Sergey Drygalov

Sergey Drygalov is a Russian chess grandmaster who was born on February 12, 1986. He achieved the International Master title in 2001 and won the FIDE Master title in 2000. He earned his Grandmaster title in 2003, when he was just 17 years old. He has competed successfully in a number of international tournaments, often finishing high in the standings. In the 2006 Russian Chess Championship, he tied for 2nd-3rd places and placed second after a tie-break. He won the 2005 and 2007 Suzdal Tournament and finished second in the 2008 Ural Championship. Drygalov also led his team to victory in the 2007 Russian Team Chess Championship and came second in the 2010 Ural Championship. He scored excellent results in the 2009 and 2011 Russian Team Chess Championships, adding further accolades to his chess career.
