Marat Dzhumaev is an Uzbekistani chess grandmaster who achieved his International Master rank in 1996 and Grandmaster title in 2003. He was born on 12 June 1976 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan SSR, then a republic in the Soviet Union.

He is not only recognised for his achievements as a player but also for his contribution as a chess coach. Dzhumaev has been working as a coach with the Singapore Chess Federation since 2012. He has also been recognised as a Highly Commended coach, a title bestowed by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports in Singapore.
