Marcin Dziuba is a Polish chess grandmaster and Physiotherapy graduate at the West Pomeranian University of Technology. Born on May 21, 1983, in Szczecin, Poland, Dziuba developed a passion for chess and received the FIDE Grandmaster title in 2005, the highest title a chess player can receive.
He has been a successful player both in national and international arenas. At the Polish Junior Championships, he won gold in 1999 (U16), 2000 (U18), and 2002 (U20). Internationally, he received the European Youth Chess Championship title for his age category in 1999. He represented Poland in the European Team Championship in Crete in 2007.
Dziuba's notable performances include winning 5th in the 2011 Polish Chess Championships, 1st in the 36th National Team Chess Championship, and 2nd in the Cappelle-la-Grande Open Chess Tournament in 2012. In terms of team performances, Dziuba achieved great success between 2008 and 2016, registering three Polish Golden Team Championship titles with the Polonia Wrocław and KSz Polonia Warsaw teams.
For his contributions, Dziuba received a Bronze Cross of Merit from Polish President Bronisław Komorowski in 2012.
