Felipe de Cresce El Debs is a Brazilian chess player, chess Grandmaster, coach, and manager. El Debs was born on February 1, 1986, in Jaú, Brazil. He began his chess career at a young age, completing the quests to earn the titles of International Master and International Grandmaster in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
As a coach, he is recognized for mentoring a number of aspiring players including the young talent, Roberta. He is also a chess manager, steering the Mequinho Chess Academy since its launch in 2018.
El Debs also holds an Electrical Engineering degree from UFSCar and a Master's in Computer Science from UNICAMP. He is proficient in various languages, such as French, English, and Spanish, in addition to his native Portuguese.
