Andrey Sergeyevich Esipenko is a Russian chess player. He achieved the title of International Master in 2015 and the Grandmaster title in 2018. He is ranked among the top 100 players in the world.

Born on 22 March 2002 in Russia, Esipenko displayed an extraordinary talent for chess from a young age. He won the Russian under-10 championship in 2012 and the under-12 championship in 2014. He also clinched the European under-10 championship in 2012 and achieved the second position in the world under-10 championship the same year.

In 2017, he secured first place at the Polugaevsky Memorial and earned second place at the World Junior Chess Championship in 2019, falling short of the title by half a point.

Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his composure and skill for endgames. His style is commonly characterized as solid and positional, focusing on intricate planning and strategy rather than aggressive tactics.

One of the highlights of Esipenko's career is his victory against World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen. He beat Carlsen in January 2021 at the Tata Steel Masters tournament, a victory that was hailed as a significant achievement in his career.
