Adham Fawzy is a prominent Egyptian chess grandmaster. Born on October 1, 2002, Fawzy gained his International Master title in 2018 and his Grandmaster title in 2019. He acquired the FIDE Master title in 2016 at the age of just 13. Fawzy has won numerous national and international championships over his career.
Fawzy's first notable achievement was winning the African Youth Chess Championships in 2015. In 2018, he won the African Junior Chess Championships and subsequently, the Arab Chess Championship in 2019. Fawzy also claimed victory in the 2019 World Junior Chess Championship, finishing in the top ten.
Apart from individual accomplishments, Fawzy represented Egypt in two Chess Olympiads, namely in 2018 and 2020. In 2020, he achieved 12th place in the Online Chess Olympiad, gaining fame for his victory against World Champion Magnus Carlsen.
