Fedorchuk plays both classical and modern chess, known for his aggressive style. He's participated in several international tournaments, often securing top places. In 2000, he won the Ukrainian U-20 championship, and in 2004, he shared the first place with, among others, Alexei Shirov and Krishnan Sasikiran in the 36th Biel Chess Festival.
