Sergey Galdunts is a chess grandmaster from Armenia. He was born on 3 November 1969. He was awarded the grandmaster title by the FIDE in 1996.
Galdunts played for Armenia in the Chess Olympiad twice: in 1996, where the Armenian team took the seventh place, and in 1998, where they finished fifth. In 1996, he also played in the World Chess Championship, but did not qualify to the final stages of the competition.
Galdunts has also worked as a chess coach, notably coaching the Armenian women's chess team to win the European Team Chess Championship in 2003, and then to bronze medals in the same competition in 2005 and 2007. His students have won both national and international chess competitions.
