Mahdi Gholami Orimi is an Iranian chess grandmaster. He earned his title norms across a busy twelve months - at the Ellobregat Open in December 2023, the Caissa Hotel tournament in April 2024 and the Sharjah Masters in May 2024 - and was awarded the Grandmaster title in 2024.

In September 2024 he won the Splimbergo Masters on tiebreaks ahead of Marcin Tazbir, and in November 2025 he tied for first with Brandon Jacobson at the Annemasse Festival Masters, taking second place on the tiebreak.
