Yehuda Gruenfeld (born 1956 in Tel Aviv, Israel) is a well-known Israeli chess grandmaster. He earned his International Master title in 1978 and the grandmaster title in 1980. He has made a significant contribution to Israeli chess contributing to Israeli team's silver medal in the 2008 Chess Olympiad.
Gruenfeld has competed in Chess Olympiads representing Israel multiple times from 1980 to 2008 and achieved notable successes. His most significant victory came in the 35th Olympiad held in Bled in 2002 where he earned a gold medal on board five. Apart from the Olympiads, he won the Hoogovens tournament in the Netherlands in 1982.
Gruenfeld also has a strong presence in team competitions. In the European Club Cup, he won two individual gold medals: in 1982 with Elitzur Petah Tikva, and in 1986 with Agudat Sport Be’er Sheva.
