Born on March 3, 1972 in France, his childhood was spent in a family of chess enthusiasts which paved his way to the world of chess.


Guidarelli became a FIDE master in 1990 and subsequently earned the title of International Master in 1993. In 2000, he became a Grandmaster, a testament to his exceptional skills in the game. He is recognized as a FIDE Senior Trainer, responsible for training prospective players and promoting the game.


He has competed in several high-level competitions. In 2000, he played in the Chess Olympiad, representing France and earning two victories. However, his team finished in 33rd place – not a strong result but a testament to his dedication and mastery of the game. He has also participated in the French Chess Championship several times, but never won the title.


Away from the competitive circuit, Guidarelli earns his living as a financial analyst, demonstrating his proficiency in areas beyond chess. Despite his commitment to his job, he remains active in chess, dedicating considerable time to coaching promising players.


He is also responsible for founding the Fressinet Chess Club in Paris, named after French chess Grandmaster Laurent Fressinet. Through the club, he has been able to groom several stars who share his passion for the game. Guidarelli’s coaching methodology focuses on equipping his students with self-confidence, enabling them to overcome hurdles on and off the chessboard.


In his personal life, Guidarelli has a fondness for music, specifically the piano, demonstrating his appreciation for the arts. He also enjoys jogging and surfing, keeping him physically active. He is a vegetarian and values the importance of personal health and wellness.
