Szymon Gumularz (born 16 January 2002) is a Polish chess Grandmaster. He began his chess journey at the age of six. Within a short period, he showed his potential by winning the national championship in the U8 category.


In 2016, he won the World Youth Chess Championship for players under 14. Following global achievement, he was awarded the Chess International Master title. In 2017, he ranked second in the European Youth Chess Championship in the U16 category.


In 2019, he achieved his biggest accomplishment when he was crowned the World Champion in the U18 category. He earned the Grandmaster title at the age of 18 in 2020, following a win at the Polish Chess Championship, becoming one of the youngest grandmasters in Poland's chess history. He also represents the chess club KSz Stilon Gorzow.


From 2012 to 2020, he was awarded the distinguished title of Kazimierza Lutoslawskiego stipendiary eight times, which is given to exceptional young athletes with promising future careers for the cause of popularizing chess in Poland.
