Aman Hambleton is a professional Canadian chess player and commentator. Born on February 6, 1992, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he earned the title of International Master (IM) in 2012, and then the highest title of Grandmaster (GM) in 2017. Hambleton achieved his final grandmaster requisite at the prestigious chess competition, Reykjavik Open in Iceland.


He is also known for his association with the online chess community, 'Chessbrah', which he co-founded with fellow chess player Eric Hansen. Through this platform, they share chess commentary, broadcasts and content on Twitch and YouTube to engage with chess fans globally.


Besides playing and promoting the game, Hambleton has represented Canada in several Chess Olympiads, his first one being in Istanbul, Turkey in 2012. He also played an instrumental role in helping his team win the Canadian Chess Championship in both 2015 and 2017.
