Ravi Haria is a British chess player who holds the title of International Master and Grandmaster. He earned the title of International Master in 2016.
Born in London on April 7, 1999, Haria learned chess at an early age. He achieved his first significant success at the age of 8 when he finished third in the England U8 Championship. Since then, his progression in chess has been impressive.
In 2014, he competed in the World U16 Chess championship in Durban, South Africa, where he finished 10th among 186 competitors. In 2015, he became the London Chess Classic FIDE Open joint winner.
Haria achieved the Grandmaster title at the end of 2020, becoming the 13th youngest ever English Grandmaster at the age of 21. Afterward, he competed at the British Chess Championship in 2021, finishing second and scoring his first grandmaster norm.
