Cristóbal Henriquez Villagra is a Chilean chess grandmaster and a twice-winner of the Chilean Chess Championship. Born on April 21, 1996 in San Fabián de Alico, Henriquez became an International Master in 2012 and was awarded the title of Grandmaster in 2015.


In terms of his chess career, his initial victories in the Pan American Youth Chess Championship (2009 and 2010) and South American Youth Chess Championship (2011) set the stage for his success. He won the Chilean Chess Championship twice, in 2013 and 2014. He also won the National Chess Circuit "CIAN 2014". Globally, he ranks as one of the best players under 20 years as per FIDE rankings in January 2015.


Henriquez represented his country in the Chess Olympiads on four occasions, and was a part of the team that won the Pan American Team Chess Championship in 2013. He also represented Chile in the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad in 2011 and 2012, winning individual gold both times.
