Imre Jr. Héra is a renowned Hungarian chess Grandmaster. He was born on 25 March 1986 in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. Héra earned the title of International Master in 2004, and that of Grandmaster in 2007. Among his most significant accomplishments in chess are winning the 1st European Universities Chess Championship in 2007 and Polish-Hungarian Friendship Chess Tournament on three separate occasions.
Apart from his feats in the field of chess, Héra is also a qualified electrical engineer. He graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His father, Imre Héra Sr., is an International Master and chess trainer, and much of his training and learning during his early years came from him.
