Chess Master Biography
Kristian Stuvik Holm is a Norwegian chess grandmaster. He won the Norwegian Chess Championship in July 2021, finishing ahead of grandmaster Jon Ludvig Hammer, and has been a fixture of Norwegian team chess, including a season with the Oslo Trolls in the 2018 PRO Chess League.
In the 2023 national championship he made headlines of a different kind, holding his own club teammate Evgeny Romanov to a last-round draw that denied Romanov the title. He completed the Grandmaster requirements by crossing 2500 in February 2025, with the title officially awarded that April.
