Ildar Rustemovich Ibragimov (born 16 August 1967) is an International Master of Sport and an Uzbekistani and American chess Grandmaster. He competed in the FIDE World Championship in 2002 and 2004. Ibragimov won several chess championships and titles, including the Uzbekistani Chess Championship in 1994, 1995, 1996, and 2000.


An active chess player, Ibragimov participated in prestigious tournaments such as Moscow Open, Spice Cup and Chicago Open. His success was equally impressive in team tournaments, representing Uzbekistan in several Chess Olympiads, primarily in the years 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004.


Ibragimov moved to the United States in 2002. From then, his performance highlighted his dedication, leading the U.S team to victory in the 2004 World Chess Olympiad in Spain and winning the Continental Chess Championships in Miami in 2003.


He was also a competent teacher, having coached numerous students including American chess prodigy Marc Tyler Arnold. Despite not being active internationally since 2017, he was rated 2410 by FIDE in January 2022.
