Félix Izeta Txabarri is a Spanish chess Grandmaster (GM), author, and chess writer. Born in the Basque Country in 1961, he became an International Master in 1990 and was awarded the GM title in 1992. He hails from a family of chess players that includes his older brother Alex Izeta, who is also a Grandmaster.
After his active playing career, Izeta Txabarri wrote for Ajedrez Español and contributed to the Chess Informant. He penned a manual on the King's Indian Defence, which has since become a classic. As an author, he is known for his training methods and his ability to explain complex strategies in a straightforward manner. He also worked on the development of the chess software Chess Assistant.
